TIPS

  • To keep cupboards clean, we advise you to frequently air them out. Furthermore, our trick is to place a container of salt in the closet to avoid dampness.

  • To sweep without getting dust everywhere but still pick up all the lint, wrap the broom in an old stocking. Try it and you’ll see.

  • An ingenious trick to get a streak-free mirror: To prevent the bathroom mirror from steaming up when you shower or bathe, scrub it with a lint-free cotton cloth and a little bit of shaving cream, until there is no trace of it left.

  • To make omelettes that don’t stick to the pan, always use the same frying pan exclusively to make omelettes. However, also, before you start using it, rub a piece of raw garlic all over its surface and clean it well with a lint-free cloth. With this simple trick, your omelettes will always come out perfect.

  • Glasses and glassware in general will lose their original shine over time. To get it back, wash them with hot, salty water and then dry them carefully with a lint-free cloth. The shine will be dazzling.

  • How to cook cauliflower without the smell. Quick and easy: To prevent the kitchen from smelling while you’re cooking cauliflower, cover the pot and put half a lemon in the lid. Another trick to prevent cauliflower from smelling is to put breadcrumb in it while being cooked.

  • To get rid of the smell on your hands after you chop garlic, just wash them with water and don’t rub them. That’s the trick, just wet your hands with cold water, no soap, no rubbing.

  • To clean oil from a deep fryer, and to get rid of bad odours, first add a handful of fresh parsley and heat it in the deep-fryer oil (for only 5 seconds). Take out the basket and throw away the parsley. Now you can see that the oil is clean and odour-free.

  • To make wooden cutlery like new, immerse them in a solution made of one litre of water and six spoonfuls of hydrogen peroxide, or you can use a few drops of bleach instead. Leave the cutlery immersed for a whole day. The next day, remove them and rinse them thoroughly in tap water.

  • To unclog pipes you have three options: Pour a little bit of baking soda in hot water down the drain, and leave it to work for about half an hour. Pour coffee grounds down the drain, and leave them to work for about an hour. Pour a glass of your favourite soft drink down the drain, and leave it to work for about half an hour. Having applied one of these products, and leaving it to work for the suggested time, turn the water on full blast to unclog the pipes.


PREVIOUS TIPS

  • Mineral deposits in the toilet bowl can be effectively cleaned using…Coca Cola type refreshments! So can rust stains, if the liquid is left for a few hours, or even overnight, before scrubbing.
  • To bring back the whiteness to your bath if the enamel has yellowed, simply sponge it down with white spirit mixed with a handful of salt. Leave the mixture to act for a few minutes and then rinse with hot water and liquid soap.
  • If you want to eliminate dirt quickly and easily, disinfect well and bring out the natural shine of floors and tiles: spray tiles with AGERUL LIMPIAGRASAS, and then rinse it off and dry them with a dry cloth. Add a squirt of AGERUL LIMPIAGRASAS to the water you use to scrub the floor. And to clean the bath, bidet and washbasin, apply Agerul Limpiagrasas either neat or diluted (one part Agerul to one part water), and then rinse and dry. For stainless steel, nickel and chromed elements, wipe them with diluted Agerul (one part Agerul to three parts water), and then rinse and dry.
  • Everything is clean except the sink? Nothing could be easier. After scrubbing it with soap, rub it with half a lemon, rinse it with water and then dry it. You can also add vinegar to your regular detergent, rinsing the sink off with a sponge and drying it with a cloth. Another way is to rub stains with a mixture of very fine sand (like flour) and natural green soap.
  • To clean the oven, apply baking soda to its side and rear walls while they are hot and leave it for an hour. Then wipe the walls clean with a cloth. If you need to clean your microwave, place a vessel with hot water inside it. Add a piece of lemon and boil the water until there is plenty of steam. Then wipe the microwave clean with a damp cloth.   • To stop the rubbish bin from giving off a bad smell, grate half a lemon or half an orange into it.
  • You can clean windows and mirrors with a rolled up nylon stocking, or with half a raw potato: simply rub it over the surface to be cleaned, rinse and dry. See how it works?   • To clean doormats, shake them well and then wash them in soapy water with vinegar. Try not to soak them to the core. When they are clean, sprinkle milk over them to lubricate them and bring out the shine of the fibres.
  • If you have cream coloured net curtains that have lost their colour or whitened due to sunlight or repeated washing, you can bring it back by soaking them in a tea infusion – the darker the tone required the more concentrated the infusion.
  • Many stains on upholstery, armrests and fabrics (and even on lamp shades and suede garments) can be removed by rubbing them with a rubber eraser or breadcrumbs.
  • To shine furniture, apply a mixture of vegetable oil and table salt and then wipe it with a chammy cloth. For even more spectacular results use AGERUL LIMPIAMUEBLES with almond milk: it cleans, nourishes and shines all types of furniture, even leather and wickerwork.
  • Odourless shoes. To prevent shoes from smelling, place a few pieces of charcoal inside them. Also, for removing smells and freshening small areas of this type, sprinkle a few drops of one of AGERUL’S super-concentrated fresheners – SUFFLOR or AROMIL – and admire the results!
  • To clean walls and other stone surfaces the best solution is bicarbonated water (never use soap), rinsed off with water containing a dash of bleach. And to bring out its shine – use milk or rub it with a lemon.
  • If there is wax on your candlesticks, put them in the freezer for an hour. Wax will be then easily removable and no damage will be done.
  • To clean artificial flowers, put them into a large paper bag and add some salt in it, then shake it vigorously .(To see how much dirt it removed, pour the salt in some water). To take care and brighten your plastic plants, Use Agerul Furniture Cleaner, you will be amazed.
  • If you are having trouble with wall spots, listen to this: if it's on plastic paint, try to rub the spot with a piece of lemon; if it's an ink spot, it can be removed with methylic alcohol. If it's on wall paper, try to remove it with bread crumbs or with an eraser.
  • To get rid of cigarettes smoky room, try this funny and quick trick: wet a towel with water and shake it in the room. Smoke will immediately disappear. Next, you can use one of our air fresheners, spray some fresh aroma of lemon, lavender, apple or mint.
  • To brighten silver utensils, you can dip them for an hour in water (where you previously boiled your potatoes) and then rinse with hot water. Another trick? Using a turpentine soaked cotton. Did you know that with Agerul Degreaser you can also clean silver? You have to use it diluted, do not dip in and rinse immediately; then, dry up with a cotton cloth.
  • You want a new look for your leather sofa, here are a few tricks: rub them twice a year with castor oil; you can also try with some moisturising body lotion; but if you want to use a more specific product, use Agerul Furniture Cleaner, because of its characteristics , it can clean, nourish and brighten all at once. Once more, it will surprise you.
  • You probably have white utensils or objects that turned yellow with time , to bring back its original colour use this mixture: ½ cup of bleach, ¼ cup of sodium bicarbonate and 4 cups of lukewarm water. Apply with a sponge and let it work for 10 minutes. Next, rinse and dry.
  • To protect your kitchen board from bad odours such as garlic, onion or fish smell, cut a lemon in half and rub it over the board.
  • If your waste pipe is blocked by grease, pour a cup of salt and another of bicarbonate then add 2 or 3 litre of boiling water. ¡ A faster solution: Pour a gush of Agerul Concentrated Degreaser and then add boiling water! Grease will dissolve right away and there will be no more blockage.
  • A very original solution: next time you spill some red wine over your carpet, remove it with white wine..... other solutions: try to remove the spot with Agerul Concentrated Degreaser or with Agerul Spot Remover Treatment.
  • To eliminate plastic containers bad odours, fill them with wrinkled newspaper (black and white). Close the container and leave it there a whole night.
  • Many tricks for jewellery cleaning : Use a soft cloth with some toothpaste . Another one? With Agerul Concentrated Degreaser, a heavy duty cleaner! For gold and diamonds, soak in a solution of one part of Agerul for 3 parts of lukewarm water (20°-30°) for 30 minutes; rinse with lukewarm water and dry up with a cloth. For silver, gold plated,etc. use the same solution but without soaking it; apply and rinse immediately, then dry up.
  • Fresh painting spots can be easily removed with turpentine, but if you don't have any at hand, try to remove it with nail polish remover. Nail polish remover is also ideal to remove car rubs ( like other cars' painting, but not scratches), try it.
  • Bath incrustations are easily removed with cola soft drink. Same with iron-mould. We only have to wait for a few hours or a whole night before rubbing it out.
  • To whiten your bath, use a sponge which has previously been soaked into a turpentine and salt solution. Let it work a few minutes and rinse with soap and warm water.
  • To easily eliminate dirt, disinfect and enhance floors and tiles natural brightness: spray Agerul Degreaser over tiles, rinse and dry up with a cloth. Floors: pour some in the water. Bath, bidet, washbasin...:apply pure or diluted (one part of Agerul for one part of water), then rinse and dry up. Stainless steel, nickel-plated, chromium-plated...: Use a cloth soaked in a solution of one part of Agerul Degreaser for 3 parts of water, rinse and dry up.
  • To clean the oven, pour bicarbonate over the walls and bottom while warm, and leave it there for an hour. Then, use a cloth to clean it. If you need to clean your microwave, put a bowl of hot water in it . Add some lemon and let it boil until there's a lot of vapour. Then clean with a damp cloth. And don't forget that Agerul Degreaser is ideal to clean electrical appliances , what's more, with no effort and faster.
  • To avoid dustbin bad odours, put a lemon or orange rind in it.
  • For window or mirror cleaning, use nylon tights or a raw potato -rub the surface, rinse and dry up; better? Use Agerul Window Cleaner for fast ,efficient and shiny results.
  • For doormat cleaning, first shake it well and then wash with soapy water and vinegar - try not to soak it- , once clean , spray some milk to brighten the fibres.
  • Odourless shoe cupboard: To avoid bad odours, put some pieces of charcoal in your shoe cupboard. If you also want to perfume and deodorise small areas such as this one, pour a few drops of any Agerul Concentrated Air Fresheners -SUFFLOR, AROMIL-, and you'll see the results...
  • For frontages and other stone surfaces cleaning, nothing better than water and bicarbonate (never use soap), rinse with water and a drop of bleach. And for brighter results,...use milk or rub with lemon.
  • To keep the inside of your flower pot clean, fill it with hot water, a tablespoon of rice and some vinegar, then shake and rinse.
  • To clean gold plated frames, we propose many tricks: rub gently with a vinegar soaked sponge then clean the frame with distillate water and let dry . Another solution might be to clean it with egg white. If you want to clean it quickly and with exceptional results, use Agerul Furniture Cleaner ( cleans gold plated metal and stainless steel.).
  • For spot removing on mattresses , mix some starch and water , spread it over the spot , when dried up, rub energetically with a brush. Same results with toothpaste.

KITCHEN SPECIAL

  • To keep your stainless steel sink shinny, use oftenly a cloth with a few drops of vinegar or alcohol. For iron-mould, use a lemon and rub the sink for a couple of days .
  • Kitchen taps filters accumulate a lot of lime. To eliminate it, remove the filters and soak them in vinegar.
  • To eliminate bad odours from your sink, you can pour lemon juice in it and wait for an hour before using it again. In order to prevent bad oours from coming back, you can pour some coffee remainings in your sink from time to time.
  • For stubborn grease on your kitchen burners, soak them for a couple of hours in turpentine. Then rinse and clean with soap. For a real practical trick, use Agerul Concentrated Degreaser, you will see how it destroys grease.
  • In the long run, wood utensils loose their brightness and shape. We can keep them as new ones if we grease them with oil. Also, to eliminate iron-mould on knives or scissors, rub the affected area with a salted onion.
  • Glasses sometimes loose their brightness due to dish washing machines...we can have that brightness back if we wash them with salted hot water and dry up immediately with a clean and dry cloth.
  • In order to keep enamel pots white, heat up some water with a 25% of bleach for 10 minutes.
  • For burnt food, fill the pot with water, add some salt and let it boil for 15 minutes. Then rinse and dry up. Another trick is to boil tomatoes leftovers in water , we will then be able to clean the pot very quickly. If you prefer, you can spray Agerul Concentrated Degreaser, and see quick results .
  • If you don’t like the smell of your kitchen once you have cooked, boil a mixture of water, cinnamon, clove, sugar and lemon skin until it evaporates. For a fresh and clean aroma, we recommend the use of Agerul Lemon Air Freshener in spray, ideal to leave a fresh and pleasant aroma throughout your house .
  • To liquefy the grease on your kitchen extractor , just boil a pot full of water and 3 pieced lemons . For faster and more efficient results, spray Agerul Concentrated Degreaser, you’ll see how grease comes down the extractor and tiles, effortlessly.
